Sure, but it certainly has an impact on what I think of KC being a great city for young adults. There are many metros where the bulk of the professional jobs are in the city and KC simply isn't one of them.

i'm so fricken happy to work at a hospital in KC... when I lived downtown I used to work for Birch Telecom, after that though it was Overland Park and freaking Gardner KS... how horrible is that?

KC downtown is awesome IMO, I really like it and always have a lot to do, but it would be doing so much better if it was the major hub for jobs in KC... even though there is a lot out there, there should be way more, and it sucks to see so many go to KS.
