Ill be driving down to KC July 20th ill probably leave Minneapolis around 9am getting to our hotel in downtown KC round 3-4pm. Me my girlfriend and our two friend are going to check out the new Livestrong Sporting Park in Kansas and watch the game vs Newcastle United. So We'll get to the hotel get set up and stuff and go to the game.

We plan on hanging out downtown after the game. and the next day. is there anything you guys recommend to do around downtown? were just four mid 20s and like clubbing and partying.

Also is there any Arabic neighborhoods in the area??

The city things to do in KC are split between downtown and midtown. Power & Light district in middle of downtown has a lot of clubs that are more corporate or lounge oriented, Xroads has a few that are more indie, as well as Westport in midtown. There is also Martini Corner at 31st E of Main. Check out W39th and Westport for ethnic eats and if into hookah. Be sure to check out the Plaza (47th) just to see what it is.

The only centralized Arabic area of KC I'm aware of is the NE Side N of Independence Ave, which leans lower income immigrants. Educated Arabs tend to be strewn about the metro but I'm not aware of anything very centralized.

Here's a guide of some mideast/mediterranean eats in KC..

Here's a city guide of the urban core, along the Main MAX bus line...

Welcome to Missouri fellow Minnesotan. I don't hang out in KC much, but I would find a hotel in the Plaza area. There seems to be alot more going on in the Plaza and Westport at night than the actual downtown. Lots of nice restaurants, shoping and bars.
I'm not sure about the Arabic neighborhoods. I am not aware of any in KC, but someone else might know of one.

^Downtown has improved a lot over the last few years. P&L leans fabricated entertainment/chains though. Xroads is more active with many galleries and a lot of indie bars/restaurants strewn about, but doesn't yet have as much daily pedestrian activity as Plaza/Westport in midtown unless there are events going on downtown.

I'm not sure if your into Hookah Bars but a new one opened up on 34th and Broadway called Ali baba, i live near it and on the weekends have been seeing the place hopping with young Arab American types.

Thanks so much everyone!! This was very helpful. I'm really looking forward to my trip to KC. I'll defiantly hit up Mid Town And yes i am very interested into Hookah bars and im glad you brought that up. My dad actually owns one up here in MN.

But would you guys recommend doing anything around the Stadium? It looks like from google maps that theres alot going on. Is that area worth spending time in?

I would not really recommend it, It would be like staying in Shakopee, the soccer stadium is in a really far away suburban area.

Other than a massive furniture store, some outlet shopping and plenty of mediocre chain restaurants, there really isn't much of anything special or noteworthy about the Legends, the area near the stadium.

Here are a few hookah bars...
Yelp | Search Businesses In San Francisco

Is missing a few. There's a new one on Main in midtown not listed, probably others. Ali Baba on Broadway in midtown tends to have more Arabs hanging out there. I think there are a couple on W39th too. I don't think downtown has any hookah, maybe one.

How long are you staying till? The game is on a Weds, so the bar districts and Hookah lounges might not be as busy as they would be on a weekend.
