Hi everyone,

I am looking for some info, feedback, or whatever you can tell me on the Rivermarket and the plaza area of Kansas City. My girlfriend and I will be in KC in several days to look at some lofts in both of these places, and would like to know if these are good areas to live in. We've both lived in big cities and we know crime is hard to avoid, but we want to find the safest places we can. After doing some research and reading many member posts/replies we narrowed them down to these two. Any suggestions? Also.. what neighborhoods or parts of the city should we avoid?

Default Little info

Plaza is EXPENSIVE... River market is pretty expensive too but not quite as bad as plaza area. Midtown is totally different from both of these areas. We have several 2-3 bedroom houses for rent down there with nice yards for the 600+ range. They are on good street and have people that have lived in the area for years. As with all Cities you have your good and bad streets... I use this site to check areas out before I go and check out houses there. It tells where crimes have happened and what the crimes are.

Hope this helps.

Also if you are wanting to be close to the bars/clubs ect Westport area and then you have the blues clubs at 39th and Vine area.
