so my birthday is this sunday and I want to know where the best brunch is in KC. lived here for a while but have only gotten brunch a couple times (once at Eggtc. and once at Corner's haha) I have heard Blue Bird Bistro downtown is really good, which is totally believable because I've been there a few times and have loved having lunch there. I've also heard that the brunch at Bristol is really good too (there's one downtown & also one on 119th in OP) any more suggestions? for the record, it's my 21st birthday so any place with good drinks is a plus!

Yes. I was going to suggest the Blue Bird even before you mentioned it. Great brunch!

And I actually like the Corner's breakfast food (if you order right - I have had a couple bad things there). It's definitely not on the level of the Blue Bird, but it's not a bad for greasy spoon breakfast.

Where did you end up going? Granite City has a brunch that is pretty good.

I have always liked Figlio's Italian restaurant on the Plaza for brunch, but haven't been there in years.

I love Eggtc.

I've heard Blue Stem has a very good brunch that is not too expensive considering they're a top Zagat rated restaurant. Bristol (both at Power and Light and at Town Center Plaza in Leawood) has an excellent brunch but it is pretty pricey.

I've heard many hotels have really good Sunday brunches.

Corner Cafe in Liberty and Riverside is excellent. Some of the best homestyle food you will ever eat.

First Watch is a chain but has good food as well. They have places all over the metro.
