Washington County looks to be sort of charming from the info on the web. The older houses and the old-fashioned (no Wal-Mart) shopping are just really attractive. I don't see a lot of employment possibilities but I do see that properties do sell, so what kinds of work would one find up that way? We don't need a lot of money but would love to live in a pretty place. Thanks.

Wal-Mart is east of Washinton, Kansas in Marysville, KS. So you can drive to shop at Wal-Mart.

I grew up in Washington county. Good people in the area.
