My husband has orders to Fort Riley, we will be there in April. I was wondering if any one can me some info aobut the area, like where to live not live, utilities, high schools etc. We are hoping we can get housing on post, but not holding our breath. We are currently stationed at Fort Sill Oklahoma. Any info would be helpful

Default Fort Riley

I can tell you this that being in the military you have to make the best out of each move because there will be pros and cons no matter what. This website should giive you some more help www.welcomefortriley.com it will show houses for sale or for rent. Also you can give Cheir at Cenutry 21 in Junction City a call she is very good with finding the house you might want. Junction City is not bad if you are an out doors person, plus if you have little kids it a good place. If you are more of a shopping person or have older kids than Junction City will not fit your life style because they lack in that area. Hope this helps you out, best of luck on your move.

Check out www.manhattan.org for more info on Manhattan. Many military families choose to live in Manhattan because it's larger (51,000 compared to Junction City's 22, 000) and has more shopping, restaurants, and activities.

Before you move to Ogden, do a web search on registered sex offenders.
