KYHLBLY is on a distinguished road
Having been raised in rural Ky. I am very much aware that Kentucky is known as the Bluegrass State but one of the biggest products grown in Ky. is tobacco. So I am sure this is what most people in the big cities of Ky. don't realize. (Especially newcomers) I was a smoker for 50ish years and have chosen to quit. We have the no smoking in public buildings here in Az law and when I smoked I respected that and smoked outdoors at home or in my car. (I didn't want my house to smell like smoke) Bottom line...smoking is unhealthy and in my opinion nasty smelling (I know"reformed smoker") but I feel people should have the right to choose. Probably the most fair resolve is allow 50/50 of business to choose to be smoke friendly or anti-smoking. Then the people can choose which place they want to go.

Default Motels near Corbin or London KY

My husband and I live in Michigan. We are going to be relocating to either Corbin or London.

We need to make several trips to look at land and manufactured homes. Does anyone know of any decent, clean motels in either area? Or, maybe between the two cities? Any ideas would be helpful.

Also, how hard is it to find a manufactured home that's already on land... and.. with a few neighbors, but not too congested. We live in a big city right now and we can't wait to get to Kentucky!!!

Thank you,
Cat

Just curious, why a manufactured home? They're cheap for a reason. You can find smaller, older homes that are nice for under $100,000.

Anyway, since this is the smoking ban thread; London just passed a smoking ban recently!!

Nice motels in London - both Hampton Inn's, Country Inn & Suites, Comfort Suites, Holiday Inn Express to name a few. These are all newer motels.

Default Thanks

Thank you very much for writing back to me. I'm new here and didn't realize I was in a "smoking" post

Although, my hubby and I are smoker's. I guess we better start looking at this too.

Thank you again
Cat

I agree with you 100%!! Being a smoker and a Michigander, wanting to re-locate to KY, I don't understand? I thought KY was one of the biggest growers of tobacco?
