School System and Employment chances are #1 priorities. So no place with bad schools or teachers and no place with bad employment chances.

I THOUGHT we had a list narrowed down to a few places in Ky and Va but I was informed the area in Va we like is economically depressed right now...so back to drawing board.

Wife wants to stay within 400 miles MAX of her grandmother who lives in North Central WV. So pretty much entire state is up for grabs here...want somewhere near or by an interstate, population of at least 10k,wife is a CNA so health jobs would be nice and I want to attend tech school eventually when we move. Somewhere without a good ole boy system somewhere more progressive interested in moving their area/town forward not backwards.

Have you thought about North Carolina? Winston Salem...Greensboro...High Point, I-74 and I-77 will take you up into West Va. Can't say I know one thing about those places though, only driven through a few times. It sure was a good ride on the scooter.

Sounds like you might be struggling somewhat...just a thought.

Yeah it's hard sometimes. Sure understand that. In KY I would suggest staying around Lexington area for work and good schools. Still can get to WVA easily. In VA, it's a hit and miss. The Roanoke/Lynchburg area is nice, and I hear it's doing pretty good. Big enough for jobs and things that you are interested in. I'm sure they have tech schools in that area. I love Charlottesville, but it's expensive there. Places in NC are nice. Like Hogsrus mentioned above. Greensboro is nice. My nephew lives there. Said the schools are good. Lots of work in that area I hear. In WVA around Charleston is supposed to be nice. I drive through there a lot, so can't say about schools and such. It's a bigger city so must have more to offer. Your wife should be able to find work anywhere as a CNA. And around bigger cities there should be a choice of tech schools for you to look into. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you figure things out. Good luck to you.
