We have nine children and are looking to live out our dream. We would like to live by mountains on a large farm. (Even an Amish Farm)

We are looking for 50-100 acres with farm but have no idea what is considered a 'good' area for this. A safe area.

What towns should we be looking for?

Are there Amish Communities in Kentucky? What areas?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

The largest Amish area in the state is Casey County. It's about 50 miles south of Lexington. The population of the whole county is only 16,200. The nearest larger town is Somerset. This area is hilly, no mountains.

Same with Crittenden County (Marion, Ky.), further west. There is an Amish community in the county and another one a few miles down the road west. Kind of like InLondon's area, hilly, but no mountains.
