I have a little dilemma regarding car registration. My car is currently registered in Virginia. My plates are registered until the end of July. The problem is my very visble VA state inspection sticker says on the top 6/10. The big problem is my house isn't closing until the end of June and I need proof of address which I probably won't be able to get until the end of June if that early. So will cops in Kentucky care about my VA inspection sticker being expired even though the PLATES are still legal?

Kentucky doesn't have vehicle inspections and doesn't cite out-of-state cars for the lack of an inspection.

For now, you're covered as a non-resident.

Once you make the move officially to Kentucky, you have 30 days to transfer the driver's licenses and transfer plates (I thought it was 60 days). Vehicle specific info:

If anyone is new to Kentucky, this is a good site to review:

My neighbor is from Illinois, they have lived here a few years and still have their Illinois plates. I can't figure that one out.
