I was just wondering if anyone knows of any therapists specializing in gender identity, so there's no misunderstanding I was born female but feel male and don't want someone to convince me how I feel is wrong. I understand people feel different but I think we all have a right to do with our lives how we see fit. TY for any responses.

I couldn't find much, sorry. :/ If I were you I would DEFINITELY get in contact with PFLAG Tri-Cities (pflagtricities.org) Their website has a list of resources including GLBTQ friendly mental health professionals.

The only other thing I was able to find was tricitiestherapy.com. Looks pretty open and accepting, but I would ask outright at the time of the appointment-setting.

Good luck!

Default Any luck?

Hi! I am kind of in the same situation, except mtf. I am in Kingsport and thought it might be interesting and even fun to pursue together. I have been to PFLAG once. I have wanted to go back but a few crisis have not permitted me to. Anyways... if you want to talk or something let me know

Well I didn't get to try Newbies or anything since I'm unable to drive. I've been to the bar once a long time ago, and never to PFLAG or anything. I take care of my mom and now my step dad has cancer so you could say it went from two people taking care of one to one taking care of two in the last few weeks. Anyway I would love to talk sometime.
