It's new. It's that simple, something new is popular because it's different and exciting.

Once its been there a while the lines will shorten.

Yep, Tri-Citians love anything new. When I worked at Fresh Market at its opening, you'd have thought we were giving away $1,000 checks on the first two weeks.

Fresh Market has a nice atmosphere, but that is some overpriced food.

I agree, I have found their food fair. Varies greatly from time to time.
My co workers like it.

As in most fast food, it is the employees who control the food. I can tell when our local McD's has the B team working for sure.

It's been over a month since Popeye's opened for business and every time I drive down North Roan Street, I still see a line of cars. Haven't been there yet, so I don not know how the chicken is? Must be pretty darn good..... or the crowds would not be there. Someone was pretty smart to put a Popeye's in - hope it lasts.

I think I am finally going to try to get some chicken tomorrow since it is the start of a 4 day weekend for me. Have not had Popeyes in over 7 years.

I'd just go to Zaxby's. Popeyes is nothing special

The Popeyes was pretty good. Zaxbys has its place too. Same as KFC and Bo-time. I do like the Cajun kick Popeyes has every once in a while plus I really like their fries and gravy for the potatoes.
