Hi Myself and husband with our two daughters 5 & 3 are relocating to the Johnson City area of Tennessee. We are looking at homes in the areas of Elizabethton, Kingsport, Bristol, Limestone. My husband is looking for a truck driving job, not over the road though home daily. He has his cdl class a and haz mat and tanker endorsements. He is an experienced triaxle tandem dump truck driver. Does anyone have recommendations of names of places we can call or fax his resume to or a website that has lots of postings. Also, does anyone have a preference to good family areas out there, schools, things to do, stores. Thanks so much for the help. I would love to be able to talk to someone who lives in that area as well maybe they could email me with jobs that are in the paper down there. Thank you again.

Hi, Welcome to the Forum and in advance, WELCOME TO TN!
I live in the North Johnson City area and rather familiar with the areas you mentioned, well, except Bristol, I personally don't care for it so don't know much abut it. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have.
As for the newspapers, here are the links.

Hope that helps!

Default Thank you

Thank you for the help. Is there any one area that you recommend over the other. Do you know of any large companies that are out there for dump truck drivers like people who transport sand, stone, dirt etc. If you want to contact me off here my email is faithe_girl@yahoo.com Thankyou

Best thing to do is find the area you are interested in living in and then do an online search for construction companies. That is a better way than checking newspaper ads.
