Default Kingsport: Cootie Brown's to close Oct. 19, 12 Bones announces name change

The Vellas opened the restaurant in February 2006 after successfully operating the first Cootie Brown’s in Johnson City for years...On Wednesday, the Vellas indicated they still want to operate the restaurant in Kingsport and hope to reopen in a new location soon.

“We have served the dining needs of the Kingsport area with a passion for quality the past two years and will extend this tradition once we have finally decided on a new location,” the Vellas said.

Cootie Brown’s in Kingsport set to close; owners hope to reopen in new location

The popular 12 Bones restaurant on Main Street is debuting a new name, a new menu and new plans for the future. The restaurant, which opened last year as a franchise of the original 12 Bones in Asheville, N.C., has dropped its franchise license and changed its name to Bone Fire Smokehouse.

While the restaurant retains many of the flavors of the former 12 Bones, it now offers new options and improved service. And it plans to expand to include an entertainment venue designed to draw more people to the downtown district.

utvols21 is on a distinguished road
Look for this awsome building to be wasted and tore down to make way for an Olive Garden. Not that i dont like Olive Garden i just think its a waste to tear it down and build somewhere else when there are plenty of other places in the city to build on.
