Driving across the city of Knoxville itself can easily take 30 minutes. You need to decide based on proximity to your husband's employment. If he works in Oak Ridge, don't live in Seymour. etc. etc.

Tennessee is a large state. Your post sounds like you don't actually know what city he will be working in, let alone community within the city. You are not going to get much help with such vague posts. We need to know exactly where your husband is going to be working. We don't need the street address or even the employer's name, although it would help, but we do need to know which part of the general Knoxville area he will be employed in, if it really is Knoxville.

What's your budget? Farragut can be on the pricey side.

And Frog, I know he will be working in knoxville, which is why I said "within 30 min of),they haven't told him which part of knoxville, as they are looking for warehouses now, anywhere near or around maryville area, seymour..etc. I am not vague on purpose, just going by the facts as we have them, which is not much. Cheaper than Farragut area. I wish I had more info as it would make looking for a place alot easier but he just said to look at maryville area or within that vicinity.

Default West Hills is a great place

We moved to Knoxville from Michigan 18 years ago. We got very lucky to pick a house in West Hills. The schools are incredible but you do want to be in the Bearden High School area. There are multiple High schools for the 37909 zip code. Both of my kids did very well and are on scholarship to college and the schools here have a lot to do with it, having classes for every level of learning. The neighborhoods are younger now than when I moved in. There is little crime and I have never not felt safe. There is a lot of shopping very close by as well. You can be downtown in 10 minutes and Maryville in 20. It is less expensive than Farragut as well.

ok ty. I have been looking up and researching but it is very frustrating when you don't have much to go on, so I just am asking general questions about the areas around knoxville.

Bearden is a good high school. So is Farragut, West High, Hardin Valley in Knox County. Also, Oak Ridge High school is tops and Maryville City schools are very good, as well. Just remember that Blount County schools are not as good as Maryville City.
