What's the secret?

The secret? Have a skill they need here and have a job either through a head hunter or your own searching before you move here.

Out of all the states I have lived, seems east TN has the worst job market. At least its low cost of living because I and my wife are both college students and live off of college loans and my GI Bill.

It took me about 6 months to find my $9 an hour job, just for comparison I was making $10 an hour in 1994 as a high school drop out and $14 an hour in Florida in 1996 before I joined the military, now I can't find any job close to that amount. Heck, I am thrilled to have the one I have now.

What makes my situation worst is that I am in college, so lack of employers with flexiable schedules makes it difficult, but hopefully knoxville where I am moving to will change that.

Even with my A.S. I can't find any job openings, I am just hoping Knoxville has better job prospects than the Cleveland area.

I was going to check Oakridge out since I just renewed my clearance and did nuke security in the military, hope that would give me some kind of opportunity, only challenge is flexible hours for college.
