Hello all,

Just thought I'd check out the site today and decided to join. I'm still fairly new in town, as I have only been here since Jan of this year. I'm currently a student at NMSU working on my bachelors in engineering. Anyway, my goal was to find some sort of club or group for some of my interests; hunting, outdoors, camping, r/c (cars or planes) or anything outdoors really. Well just thought I'd say hello and what not. If anyone is interested or know of a group, please feel free to let me know! Thanks.

Your best bet is to look into getting involved with student / campus groups that interest you. There should be no shortage of special interests on campus. Other than that, browse the local newspapers for groups that meet regularly. Inquire at the outdoor sporting good stores / bicycle shops for information on activities in that sector.

Thanks for the reply, but from what I have seen, the groups / clubs on campus are not really my cup of tea, i.e cannabis clubs, frisbee clubs, LGBTQ, and religious...stuff. Still going to keep my eyes open though. I heard about a cool hobby shop in El Paso with a couple tracks and R/C boat races held at various times each month.

I don't know anything about these meetup groups but it always looks like Las Cruces has some that look like they'd be good.

I'm happy to see my talented neighbor Hillary's aerial dance ensemble prominently mentioned. It's something amazing to see.....

BTW...did ya notice the majority of pics were in Mesilla, NOT LC? The LC Chamber of Commerce does the same thing.
Not a complaint, just an observation.....
