Standard heavy use grid. Goes down once a year or so. We had one this summer that was out for a while and then was up and down for another couple of hours.

Never had one in the nearly 8 years I've been in town. Underground utilities help tremendously, especially with the vigorous wind storms we get in the winter and spring. We've had 72 knot gusts here at the house (I have an anemometer on the roof), and have never had as much as a flicker.

We have them by neighborhood every now and then. They don't last long. Usually when it rains hard it will short out something and the power goes off, but it's not often. Had one during the last big rain recently. Not a big deal. We did have a brown out in the late 1990's when we had a record heat wave. We did have a brown out in the late 1990's when we had a record heat wave. It's the only one I've ever experienced.

I have never experienced one in my 9 years in Vegas. When I have heard of power outages they have been caused by cars crashing into things that cause the power to go out.

Definitely cars crashing into things and knocking out power. Usually drunk drivers or inattentive cell phone drivers.

I've been at the Rio and the power went out for an extended period of time. Agt the time at least they didn't have generators.

Thanks guys. I'm moving out of Oregon to come down to LV. Up there I've had the power go out for three days. If the power goes out in the summer I guess you live in the pool?
