Ello there. I have a question. I'm gonna be a UNLV Transfer in Fall 2012. I'm trying to get a feel for what I'm supposed to be buying in terms of an apartment, or condo. I'm trying to gather a ball park as to what I'm gonna be paying. I'm looking either for a 1 bedroom with a den (or something similar) or a 2 bedroom with a den. I'm looking specifically for a den due to the fact I will be a Film major and have literally THOUSANDS of dollars worth of equipment. Thus I also need security. I have a cat, so the property must be pet friendly and close to unlv. Perhaps no more than $1,200. I have looked around and I have found a few but I'm wondering if there is any others that I may have missed. Thanks!

I think you would be smarter, moving away from that area, and buying a cheap car, better security, and away from the 'lower rent' areas.

I would not live anywhere near UNLV. It is a run down dangerous area.

Rebel Place is a very nice community. Brand new, gated, especially made for students, and there are shuttles that take you to and from campus. I don't think any of the units have dens, but they seem to be spacious.

Aside from that, I'll second the advice of the other posters. For $1200 a month, you could easily afford to live in much better parts of town.
