...is no one out doing anything this week? I can't remember when I've seen so few cars on the road, and so few shoppers (not counting malls on the Strip).

And... speaking of people of the Mexican persuasion ...is it my imagination, or are there fewer Hispanic folks in Las Vegas these days? Are they leaving due to no work?

I'm usually a glass half full kind of guy, but am I seeing signs that the economy is getting worse, or is it some other phenomenon?

I already mentioned it weeks ago. I drove across town morning rush hour and home early evening rush hour and I never hit a single snag. It's not your imagination, yes, people are bailing. Personally, I like it with less people. If we could just get rid of the idiots we would be sitting pretty.

No idea about poker as I wasn't looking. I just remember that it was not easy to hop from favorite machine to machine because entire rows were taken up. There are a few new slots there too.

The crowd was big enough to make the whole casino very loud too. Maybe there was a convention or event or something?

My neighborhood has been quieter lately, especially this weekend. I think everyone is off to back to school sales. This next weekend the roads should be much busier for Labor day weekend. Especially around I-15 and the Strip and downtown.
