There are no "safe" areas in Las Vegas. People are finally finding out they are just as likely to be butchered and murdered in higher end neighborhoods as the bad areas. That said, South Point area is a nice newer area.

Forgive our morbid buddy...

Area is south strip. Many strip workers. Reasonably safe with normal precautions.

Have fun. Nice place.

South Point area is good. Close to it all without being in the muck of it all.

I agree..You can get murdered in a $1200 a night hotel room as well as you can in an alley.....Any area is either safe or unsafe depending on various things, like what type of people are there at certain times, etc....

Everywhere in Vegas is safe just as everywhere in Vegas is dangerous.

Hopes this helps.

This is exactly where I live. I love it. For years I lived further east in Silverado Ranch and liked it there but this area is great. My next door neighbor has lived here in this complex for 14 years, single lady, never had a problem.

It's one of the better areas of Vegas as far as I'm concerned.
