I'm on of those who thinks Absinthe is the best thing to hit The Strip in a decade. Those big over the top shows (e.g., Cirque) with huge and expensive production numbers have started to leave me numb. Absinthe gets back to the basics of entertainment on a smaller and more intimate scale. You really feel like they're performing just for you rather than simply following a script.

Now, having said the above, Absinthe really is as raunchy as they say. And, to make matters worse (or better - depending upon your view) if the Gazillionaire or his crew senses you are bothered by it, you may be targeted.

Frankly, I loved it.

Bill

No. Very different. More like an ode to those old sleazy travelling carnivals, but done very well and funny. Hard to describe, but I highly recommend it.

Oh, so I don't have to pay stupid money for seeing two grown men tongue tied when I can see that for free on most corners in SF. Good to know.

Um, okay.

Whatever floats your boat, PinotGuy. No judgement from me.

Two men tongue tied does NOT rock my boat... Seen enough of that in SF for the past 20+ years. For free.

Yes, I know. I was purposely being obtuse to make fun of the fact that you needed to bring up your anti-gay feelings when they weren't even warranted.

Enjoy the show!

I've enjoyed some of the earlier Cirque shows. Zoomanity was and will remain the last Cirque show I will ever see. I'm truly glad it was comped. Still feel ripped off.

Save for nudity and just a few raunchy jokes that are funny, there is nothing to see there. You get a much better crowd and "show" at any decent gay bar in SF Castro district on a daily/nightly basis. All for way cheaper price of admission. The crowd at Zoomanity is either older folks who are just happy to see nudity or those from mid-west also wanting to see some nudity and gays (must still be a novelty to them). Overall, a waste of time and money by most any measure. I saw it when all other shows on the strip were packed, this one was no more than 15% full. Make your own deduction (obviously we have some "geniuses" here who think they know everything about me). Anti-gay (as the other poster likes to think) or not, the show is CRAP and if anyone is not into "gayness", then one should be warned prior to them charging your card. I saw mostly shocked faces in the theater and the content of the show was CRAP, gay or not.

Absinthe, though, sounds interesting and worth seeing.
