Hey everyone!

My wife and I recently bought our first home in Anthem Highlands (near Madeira Canyon Park).

We are moving across the country next week from Pittsburgh PA, and when I was last there, I remember my AT&T cell service only had 1 bar near my home...

Is there anyone who lives up in that area that has better cell service with another provider?

Just let me know, and thanks for taking a look...

excited to be moving to Las Vegas!

Welcome to the neighborhood. Sadly, we still have AT&T, and service inside our house is poor. Stand outside & it is better.

My home is about a 2 minute walk from Madeira Canyon Park. We have Verizon and although my cell phone connection (voice) is generally pretty good, my data connection is often weak or non-existent. 4G about 20% of the time, 3G perhaps 30% and Edge or nothing the remaining 50%.

I just moved to Anthem Highlands and I only have 1-2 bars with AT&T. My girlfriend has 2-3 with Sprint. Sprint sent us a cell phone booster for free and her signal is still pretty weak. People complain that we are breaking up all the time and phone calls get dropped frequently. We just moved here, and this is pretty frustrating. I am hoping Verizon is better? Otherwise we will have to look into a VOIP (voice over internet phone).

Also, my AT&T service is great a few houses down (3-5 bars), I think I just happened to move into a dead zone? Hopefully we will get some more towers out here in the near future.

Note that cell calls that break up & calls that get dropped might be due to low signal... or might be do to HIGH SIGNAL. That is, too strong a signal. It is all about staying within spec.

I have AT&T and I get great cell phone reception. no drop calls. My data reception is generally good too although sometimes it acts up.

The best thing to do once you're in your new house is to call the AT&T technical support and talk to them about improving the signal. They can tell you how far you are from the antenna and can perhaps change the direction of the signal or offer other ideas. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

It did for me. When I had AT&T I had so many dropped calls, could only make a call standing in a certain spot in my driveway, etc. that they finally let me out of my contract early without penalty. They tried to tell me I lived in a valley (I live at the top of a hill), had too many trees (no), or had lead siding (no again).
