I used to work at one of the prisons outside Indian Springs. Usually around October, the tarantulas would migrate to lower ground before winter set in, crossing the prison yard. We would see them by the dozens, especially at night. A coworker caught one and took it home for his son's terrarium.

They have long eyelashes. Wolf spiders are almost cute. Not if you ask my husband but, whatever.

After a lot of looking at way too many spider photos online, the spider I saw yesterday looked more like a hobo spider. It was the only one I could find that had the stripe. I just wish they would show them in real size, not magnified. Or at least show one regular size, the next photo magnified. Most people do not really get that close to a spider, nor do they want to.

Can anyone help identify this little bugger? It is squished I realize but I thought it was unique enough that it could still be identified. It has a very small body but the legs are quite long and unique. I was thinking possibly a yellow sac spider.

Second photo is a size reference.

Thanks!
