I heard there were two chimpanzees running around Jones. Anyone live near there? How would you react if you you knew your neighbor had wild animals living next to you?

Yeah, the police killed one of them. People have no business having animals like that as pets.

It's legal, so I am not sure of what reaction you could have besides stomping your foot in a huff.

Oops! Sorry folks! That was my brother-in-law running around without his shirt on. I'll tell him to stay indoors next time. Please don't shoot him. Thanks.

Here you go: Chimp chase in NW valley ends with one chimp tranquilized, another dead - Thursday, July 12, 2012 | 11:46 a.m. - Las Vegas Sun

Would not bother me if neighbors had wild animals, much better than wild people.

Id rather have lions and tigers running loose in the neighbor than a chimpanzee or any of our other primordial brethren for that matter. Chimpanzees will f you up.

I think a lion and tiger would just kill you where a chimp will make you feel very sorry for a very long time. In any case, I'd be pissed not to have full disclosure or a posted sign notifying the neighbors that there are wild animals down the street.

No wonder kids don't want to go outside a play nowadays. J/k

I think the fact that chimps are closer to us zoologically has something to do with it and the fact that they are 20 times stronger than we are yet smaller. A lion or tiger will kill you instinctually where a chimp will be more calculated in their killing or maiming. Basically its like being murdered by a human. And they are apes, not monkeys.

Sad that one of them was shot. The idiot who owned them should be punished to the full extent of the law.

That was unfortunate, the male chimp being shot by metro. Of course, metro loves to shoot everything whenever possible it seems. They could have waited for animal control to get there to sedate both of them.
It would not bother me living next to wild animals. At least they wouldn't be out there with their boom cars, wrecking the neighborhood with excessive unwanted noise.
