If it was up to the Fed Gov, there would still be next to nothing out near the base. They've adjusted their SOPs numerous times already to appease the residents of NV (not just LV). They're kinda limited at this point.

They may just be changing up their flight patterns for various reasons, testing new equipment or navigating over urban areas or just because, whatever.

It wouldn't be unusual to see Navy planes in Nevada, the flight testing program at NAS PAX in Maryland has undergone a series of limitations the last 20 years due to development in the surrounding area so a lot of systems get sent out to Edwards for testing.

Maybe they should just expand Creech, and move Nellis' operation there.

The advantage of Creech would be that it's on the southern border of the Nellis range, which will never be developed. They could do all their air ops over the Nellis range, and not have to go over Indian springs.

Also, Indian Springs has less than a thousand people. If they complain, they're not going to have the numbers to get any traction.
