Listen- mental illness is a *****. I know this kid who is diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic and when he's not on one of his psychotic episodes he's basically a genius. Other times everyone is out to get him and he sees things that just aren't there. He can't hold down a job to save his life.

I also know a few people with bipolar personality disorder, both type I and II. Vegas is an absolutely horrible, horrible place for someone going through a manic episode.

As far as your gambling, I agree with others.

Just don't move here you will regret it.

with the way you describe your addictions, you could find yourself standing at a stop light on sahara holding up a cardboard sign for bus money home within 6 months.

Hi,

Depression and mood disorders can be very challenging, and I would probably be depressed as well if I lived in and environment without too much sun and one with weather that prohibited me from being active outdoors and getting fresh air. For me, cold climates do that to me.

At the same time, one cannot discount the importance of having family and long-term friends around while going through something like this.

While I love living in Las Vegas and plan to retire here, I'm not sure Vegas would be the best for you. Perhaps another sunny location, with limited access to gambling, and some family and/or long-term friends nearby would be a better place for you to try?

I wish you the best in finding the right place for you and I sincerely empthize with your situation.
