Rocky Boy is a bit west of Havre. I'm actually from east of Havre a bit. I like Las Vegas but eastern Montana will always be home.

I came from the Air Force the first time right out of training. I didn't know what to expect, but I ended up loving it. I was born in So-Cal and grew up in Oregon. My grandmother was born in Boulder, her dad worked on the damn and my Aunt was born in Henderson. The rest of us were born in Orange or LA County.

I'll never forget that town...I almost dumped my new bike while riding back from Portland OR to Minot ND on Hwy 2 in 2008. They were rebuilding the road and somebody had the brilliant idea to tear both the east and west bound lanes right in the middle of town. Soft gravel and mud doesn't mix with two wheels too well. I wish I knew in time to take a detour, but oh well. I was glad to have that town in my mirrors!

The answers to the poll are quite interesting. No wonder I feel like a fish out of water! Doesn't seem like too much of a population from the South, at least on this board, are in Vegas. I had a guy from KY ask me once, "Why did you come out here?" I said, "I'm still trying to figure that out myself."

I guess that's why I always fit in so well, a lot of West Coasters like myself. Several of my friends in that were in Vegas with me the first go around were from the South and they loved it there (Vegas).

Comeon Darling...olecapt grew up in KY...the twin to TN. Got a lot of mileage since but I still say y'all when delireous.

I find this almost the perfect place for a TN or KY...too smart for AL or MS and way too dumb for NY or CA.

I don't like the desert dear. That's the bottom line. I'll make the best of it while here, but I ain't staying, God willing, much longer than another year.
