I would still check out Medicaid. There are various requirements and in some cases your home is exempt.

Did you know the greatest number of bankruptcies are a result of medical bills? Seems to me it could be quite simple. If you do not own anything and have few assets, get the medical treatment you need and then file a medical bankruptcy. Try to use the Medical Center for your services. Some of the doctors here, for instance, receive $25K every month for being on call there and treating the indigent patients.

I do't know why it is not known.

I volunteer at a place that helps people. I can never promise what they will and wont do.

Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada

It is for those who otherwise would not have insurance. You make too much for Clark County social services things like that.

Clark County Social services is an avenue as well if it has yet to be explored.

The wait list for VMSN is long, about 3 months to become a patient. But we don't ask about houses you own.

You have to be employed to get help there which the op isn't.

You don't have to be employed.

It's designed for people who make too much for other forms of assistance, yet not enough to afford insurance/medical care. If you have no income at all, you qualify for those. See?

People on SSI, UI retirement etc. are all still eligible. Even food stamps counts as wages. We're also going to count the wages of the person living with them.

If that helps someone, good. If not sorry.

If anyone has EVER been in the military check with your local VA. To get medical there is no 20 year requirement. Just fit the income profile and have an honorable discharge and you will be helped. Contact the local VA social worker and have a sit down.
