Actually there hasn't been a single mass shooting where an assault rifle was used....repeating a lie is the same as lying.

...and all of the "variants" are semi-auto versions of select-fire weapons.....there's a BIG difference.

People and the media just sound ignorant when they ramble on about things they know nothing about....especially when they just keep repeating it.

Kinda like that person who hears someone using a big word then goes around misapplying it!

Come on people...

And supposedly it's only conservatives who wear tinfoil hats...

Scoopie was joking when he said that. I however, have a very good supply of tinfoil, so if we need to make hats we are in good shape. That's how we can identify one another at the meetup. Best tinfoil hat wins!

AR variant is an AR-15/10 etc. variant not assault rifle. See trying to be a smart ass just made you look like an ass. You can also stop pretending to school a guy who I guarantee has more rifles than you.

ALSO I probably need to explain to you the play on the paranoia in the thread with the paranoid misinformed media that thinks every rifle is an assault weapon, but you probably wouldn't get that either. Do yourself a favor and stop talking down to people you're not that smart you're a cab driver.

Okay, back to topic... Downtown works. Tuesday works, though the bands probably won't be as good as those on the weekends. ( I've met several people from this website and have yet to be cut up into little pieces, so I think we're okay)

Actually, no. I wasn't joking. I will never, ever, ever, go to a meetup that is publicly announced on C-D. No way. No how. We have way too many psychopaths who monitor this forum. We have our resident troll, for instance. I don't want that guy knowing where I will be. Ever. And there are a few other people who I am absolutely uncomfortable with the idea that they know my location.

It's not like I'm paranoid. Those of you who know me personally know that I'm an extremely mellow individual. It's just that there are an awful lot of crazy people. I try to minimize contact with nutjobs. I have too much experience dealing with nutjobs.

It simply isn't worth it, when comparing risk to reward.
