Hi,

I just moved to Vegas, & am on a very tight budget.

Does anyone know of someone who can drive me around to do my errands. I need a few days to look at desks, mattresses, monitors, office chairs, etc.

Please PM me if you know of someone.

Thank you

Michelle
P.S. I may consider a rental if they have GPSs in the car. There's no way I'm driving without one LOL If you know of such a car rental, please let me know. Thanks

Sorry to hear you are on a very tight budget. IMHO I think you are making a mistake asking for a stranger to drive you around to help do your errands. Your personal safety could be at risk. Please just save up a few bucks and rent a car. I have found Budget and Dollar rental to have the lowest rates. Rates of 20-30 day are not uncommon. Stay safe and think safety first.

I second that. There are many good people but all it takes is one bad one to ruin your day or life. What I have found about Vegas is once you get the gist of which streets go north, south, east and west your good to go. One thing I would suggest is to get a car when you can. The heat in Vegas can be brutal and waiting at a bus stop can be like standing in an oven. Yet others do it. If your still intent on hiring someone to drive you may be you can contact a social agency, a church, welcome wagon if that's still around, etc.

The rental car agencies charge about $10 a day or more for GPS. Go to Wal-Mart and buy one cheap if you plan to do this often.

Also, how do we know you aren't a serial Killer? How do you know we're OK?

Las Vegas is the easiest city in the world to navigate. There are so many landmarks to guide you it's really hard to get lost. Plus it's sort of laid out in a grid with major streets running N-S, E-W. And you can MapQuest where you want to go very easily.

Who told you it was OK to move to a major western city without a car? They are all spread out so that cars are a necessity. Or a horse. But that takes longer.

Look online at Amazon....most orders over $35 are shipped free...even better shipping speed if you have a Prime membership.

Get the lowest price, no sales tax and it'll be delivered to your door...what more could you want?

Besides, if you're buying mattresses and desks then you aren't on THAT tight of a budget..

...And you want someone to use their time, fuel and wear and tear on their vehicle and expect to pay them less than the cost of a rental???

That's seriously taking advantage of someone...expect them to take advantage right back.

The entire premise of this OP irks me. Take care of yourself! If you can afford "desks, mattresses, monitors, office chairs, etc." then you can drive your own damn self around!

Not once did you even mention what the driver would get IN RETURN for their inconvenience and expense for being your personal chauffeur. The entitlement mentality of some people is astounding!

How did you get from Canada to LV?

If you want stuff on the cheap, shop online at places like IKEA and pay the shipping.
Or, taxi fare to a one-stop place like RC Willey. You pay a one time delivery fee of $60 that's good for 12 months.

One correction. Amazon does charge sales tax.
