If you are chip collecting then there are two casinos on your list that don't have table games. Slots A Fun (maybe Circus Circus has some of their chips lingering) and Hacienda (Dotty's bought it and shut all of the table games down).

If you hurry to Hacienda they might still have some chips at the cage as it has only been about one week since they pulled the table games.

Thank you LVP! I went to Hacienda over the Summer and have one of theirs. I'll take it and Slots O Fun off the list.

Cool collection, Raiderman! Congrats!

I always wanted to start a casino chip collection. The first chips will be from The Marina and The Dunes. These two resorts were my favorites when I was a kid. My parents used to take us to Las Vegas all of the time when I was in grade school in the late 70's- early 80's. You can find chips from the old Las Vegas strip casinos on ebay.

-Cheers.

We have sold chips on eBay, but have never bought any. Right now I have about 8,000 matchbooks left that I'm selling, too, so if anyone is collecting matchbooks, I've got a TON (many for closed casinos). We've sold a couple thousand of them so far.

For me, it's about getting the $1 chip there while I'm playing. Granted, I could go buy the ones for the casinos in which I played prior to starting, but now it gives me an excuse to go back

At one time, I had a collection of Slot Club Cards. Like casino tokens, it's amazing what collectors will pay for them.

As for the list, while it is certainly VERY complete, it doesn't not which are total dumps that only desperate locals manage to enter.

And, Slots O Fun once had the absolutely best $1 hot dog on earth.

Oh, there are some VERY scary places on that list. And I've been to them, but the "table" was full at a couple of them. Poker Palace probably tops the list of dumps with table games. Opera House tops my list of sketchiest casino in which I've ever stepped foot. When slot attendants wear sidearms, you know you've reached the bottom...

Try the Skyline in Henderson some time - if you can tolerate the cigarette and cigar smoke.

I've been there, but they only open their tables on Fri/Sat nights. It's on my list to return, as it is my last Henderson casino with no $1 chip.

I don't mind the smoke, but I didn't feel safe at the Opera House, even at 3:00 in the afternoon mid-week. Just the vibe that I was in the wrong place!

I played a poker tournament there once.

Once.

There's not much point in trying to win if you think the losers will kill you after the game. I was very glad when we got down to the last few players and someone suggested a chop.

Yeah, I need to go back to get my $1 chip. I'm thinking a $20 buy-in. I'll try to look homeless so they don't think I have money.. Maybe buy in with a baggie of quarters..
