I noticed it too that it wasn't as hot this year when I went into the garage where it holds the heat due to lack of insulation. Fewer really hot days in there.

Just wait until this fall when the El Nino affects the west coast with a lot of rain. This will probably end up over here and really soak us a bunch which isn't really all that bad except for the flooding.

I keep waiting for El Nino to do everything people claim it's going to do. (Lake Mead overflowing and such). Hawaii is getting whacked repeatedly. But I haven't noticed much other than slightly cooler temperatures this year.

Well.. I will take cooler if that is all we'll get. I don't like the wind though, too much dust.

Now if we can just have a winter like previous years. Last year was too warm, could not wear my coats except for one week in December. I want it to snow once or twice. Temps in the 40's and 50's for the high. A few days in the 30's for old times sake. This last winter it was in the 60's through most of it. Disappointing.
What is interesting about this summer was there were just a few days in the 110's in July, and that was it. Usually it's at least 116-117 for a week. Then back to the cool crisp 110-111 for another week. We are headed into September in a few weeks, so unless we get a few 110 plus before the month is out, I would say it is one of the coolest summers.

I guess the heat hasn't been that bad, but I would really like some rain.

Anyone know what our last El Nino winter was like? When was it?

I agree it has been cooler than usual this summer!
