sorry quick question-CASINO MARKETING REPRESENTATIVE position is this a behind the scene job where you take calls and input information into the computer or is this on the casino floor.

You take phone calls and do reservations and stuff like that.

Some do work out on the floor, often in or near the slot club booth or around any promotional tables. No matter if its on the floor or in the back of the house think poorly paid PR person and you'll have a good idea of what its about. Fairly easy job to get, lots of former cashiers/tellers start there as well as telemarketers just looking to get in thedoor of casino work and progress from there.

Could also be one that signs up members to the slot clubs and table play etc. I highly doubt it is for a host position

No it isn't

A lot of the times these marketing representatives are in the call center for whatever hotel. I should know, back in the day I worked at one of these briefly for MGM. Right now Bellagio has a position open with this title

So how does one get IN to casino when even the lowliest telephone operator job requires a years casino experience? Darn it.
