Well thank you my friend. My entire family is here in Las Vegas for many years. Only my sister is "trapped" in NY as she says...she hasn't been able to sell her house in order to be able to move here.

She has been visiting LV for so long now, and has seen the good, the bad and the ugly sides of LV, she's no stranger here at all. Getting on in years, she can't take the cold winters in NY, and she can't afford to retire there.

We'll see what happens this year and hope for the best!

Being "touristy" on the Strip, coffee and cake, shopping trips, and running ordinary errands are just so much nicer when your sis is with you!

Blood ties do seem to transcend the obtained; no need to strengthen, or act anything other than natural. Glad, and not surprised you have this relationship with yours.

Cameras malfunction, women cringe, and babies cry at my sight; but, animals of all types seem to love me, for some reason.

That was sweet Greg. I know not everyone has a good relationship with their siblings or even their parents for that matter.

I realized a long time ago that life is short, and you can't sweat the small stuff. Being in a loving relationship with siblings and parents isn't something that comes easily sometimes. You have to work at it, giving respect and compassion and earning the same. Treating your family as YOU want to be treated. And yes, you have to have very broad shoulders sometimes and be a believer in "give it your blessing and let it go"

With our parents gone, my sister, brother and I have only each other as our original family unit. Being honest and speaking our feelings and respecting each other keeps us very close. I absolutely adore that both my sister and brother make it a point to want to spend time with me, even when the miles keep my sister on the East Coast at times.

That's why her visits here to LV are so special! She might come with me to the DDO, but I'll see if maybe she wants to go somewhere else while I'm visiting with all of you at Bootleggers.

Cats, dogs, lizards, you name it---- they all seem to accept me for some reason. I probably should have been a veterinarian.
