I hope Boyd gaming makes things better, not worse.

Its going to be the same playbook that Boyd runs on all its Coast Flag properties, Gold Coast, Orleans, Suncoast, Sam's Town. Its seems to work for them.

It does have much more traffic than our part of the valley because newbies to town always think the only two places in existence to live must be Henderson or Summerlin.

Green Valley ranch casino is nice. You have to go and see it sometime. Rent a car for a day and take a day trip out there on your day off. Or catch a ride with your roommates or a friend. You have to branch out a little. There is so much the valley offers, do not limit yourself to one part of the valley.
I mainly think Henderson sucks because it is over hyped and the traffic

Anyways I just bought a new car 2 days ago so I'll head down to Henderson one of these days....

One of these days you'll see Dotty's buying up a bigger casino on the Strip, or off-Strip! I'm surprised they didn't put in an offer for Palms!

They seem to be opening up Dotty's everywhere in the Valley, so they must be making tons of money.

Near where I work, Dotty's took over the Cheyenne Casino near Cheyenne/Casino Center, and opened up an offshoot called La Villita, next door to it, to attract NLV Hispanics. And, just last week, they opened up another on LV Blvd North/Lake Mead, in a brand new building, with a La Villita next door to it. Closer to home, there's a Dotty's at DI/Pecos, another at Boulder Hwy/DI and they recently tore down the Sahara Saloon @ Sahara/Boulder Hwy, and converted that to a Dotty's! Just what Nevada/Las Vegas needs, one more oligarchic corporation!

So fasten your seat belts, it's coming, a Dotty's on the Strip!

I know Dottys makes money hand over fist, but my theory as to why they are expanding so rapidly is because when the county / state finally drops the "slot parlors are illegal" hammer, which Stations has been pushing for for years, the existing locations will be grandfathered.

Seems like they are moving past the slot parlor model in NV with the purchase of two hotel casinos in Boulder City and Laughlin in the last two years. Then they still have their parlor/bar slots and lottery sales in three other states.
