I'm not a good one to rate summers, as I'm a nightshfter, sleep everyday from 10a-6p, out and about, walking the pet/bicycling 2-3-4am. That aside, I thought this summer was a cooler one.

The "bullets" we dodged this summer helped, with a very minimal sweaty monsoon season, as the storms that passed thru Tucson/Phoenix seemed to bypass us, go straight north. How lucky!

How about you? How would you grade this past summer? Give it an A, B, C, D or F?

What are you talking about. This was one of the hottest summers on record. And it ain't over till it's over. We've got at least another six weeks to go.

I experienced 123 this summer. It was technically hot, but I feel like it was a mild summer. I enjoyed it.

I came to Vegas in June. I can't remember more than a couple of days since then when the temp was below 100. Many days of 105 to 115!!! I lived in Thailand for 10 years before and the heat and humidity were taxing, but walking outside and feeling like a giant hot air blow dryer is going full force!! yikes

Third summer here, and definitely the hottest. And I would've welcomed a bit more monsoon weather,

More monsoon weather translates to unbearable humidity and sweat!

Please, can we get away from numbers, and concentrate on heat/feel indices!

95 in Atlanta, 80-90% humidity, and you have a heat/feel index of 120+!

Although it was hotter this year I feel like there was less humidity and that has been reflected in my cooling bills which are less than the last 3 years

I think it was one of the most consistently hot (days in a row over 107) that I can remember. Overall I would say it was pretty nice, tho I am just now catching up on the yardwork I've been avoiding.

I thought end of June was really hot. End of July and early August was really hot. August was pretty mild. September has been quite nice.

Overall, not a bad summer. Even though I know it broke some records, it didn't feel as hot as others. The hot weather seemed concentrated and once you got through those rough weeks it wasn't as bad.
