Just found this thing crawling across my floor this morning.

Any idea what it is?

I don't think that's a black widow - black widows have great big round bodies and this one has an elongated body. It looks like something else really horrible.

I will not look at the photo bec it will give me the heebies...so sorry...but rule of thumb a black widow looks
exactly like the Halloween ones in plastic they make rings out of or are in ice cubes.
Every once in awhile I'll see one here in CO...they love being under something...like
your BBQ grill!
But I also had one lumbering along on my kitchen floor once!

A black widow's body is round like a chickpea, and they are glossy black. That's definitely not a black widow.

black widows have a red hour glass shaped stamped on their backs/underbody

it doesn't look natural, since they appear to be straight lines, which don't appear in nature

you'll know one when you see one, the human body will react with hairs standing up at the back of your neck

Looks like a red backed jumping spider to me. Not a black widow.

It looks tiny. And like everyone else said, not a black widow. You will find black widows hanging out in dark spots in your garage, between the roller door in storage units that are not temperature controlled. And in your yard next to your house or storage containers. In dark stairwells. Also, hanging out by the mailbox in some places. I have seen some of their webs going across the entire bottom of the community mailboxes. I guess they want the junk mail. If they are found in your house, it would be under a table that never gets moved or dusted.
It's more rare for them to be seen scampering through your house like the small one in the photo. They like very dark places.

Maybe a baby tarantula? I say that cause of the front of the body. Very hairy legs. This is worse looking than a Black Widow. Not that BW's are up for any beauty contests.

It is disgusting, yet I can't look away!

Found a dead black widow (I think as I'm not an arachnid specialist) last week right inside my front door. She got a burial at sea. First one I have seen in 17 years.
