I just accepted a job in Vegas to complete a 1 year manager training program. This move has to happen pretty fast and I haven't had that much time to plan for it aside from reading posts on this site. I have a couple of questions that I was hoping that you guys could help me with.

I will be working right next to UNLV and I need to find either a large 1 bedroom, or moderately sized 2 bedroom apt or condo. I need it to be around $800/month or less and accommodating to a lab/pitt mix and a labradoodle.
Are there many places out there that are in safe neighborhoods that fit my criteria?

Also, I just so happen to be gay and will be moving there with my partner of 3 years. How open minded would you guys say that residents are? I lived in Austin, TX for a while, and that area is very accepting of the lifestyle. I just wanted to get some input so that I would know what to look forward to.

Being gay really is no big deal here, having 2 large dogs and trying to rent a decent apartment will be.

Yup..nobody will notice that you are gay...but they will notice the pups. There are a couple of pet friendly Apartment complexes that will accept large dogs. The will not however accept 800. Google Pet Friendly Apartments Las Vegas.

Your best bet is a condo or single family that has no pet restriction. Still will be around 1000 or 1100. Try 89119, 89123, 89120. 89123 is the best of the set but may be too expensive. If those don't work 89122 or 89074.

I would think that Pitt part of your dog may also be a show stopper. I had to take an apartment in Virginia here as part of my job before I move onto Vegas. Finding Pet friendly apartments was not difficult, but finding one that allows any type of Pitt Bull or mixture of was impossible. I don't have a Pitt, just a friendly old Lab and she was easy to get into a complex.
