I don't think your link is to what you want it to be.

I think it was supposed to be this...

Note that this is comparing one city to an entire state. I bet if she looked elsewhere in NV, she could fine rent cheaper than in LV. Conversely, what are rents in LV compared to Miami, for equivalent quality areas?

Default Wayback Machine

@BBMW

It's there.

I saved it to the Internet Archive with the Wayback Machine (a permalink.) For posterity, y'know.

Yep. Average rent in Orange County CA, where I just moved from, is $2,576 Vegas is dirt cheap in comparison. Hopefully the rising rents will drive out the scumbag criminals here. Thats what happened in bad parts of OC, high rent priced out the criminals. Most probably came to Vegas actually...

The problem is LVs scumbags tend to migrate there from LA metro. As long as Vegas is cheaper than LA, they'll keep coming.

The people who pay no rent in LA do not care about rental costs.

Default Red-hot rental market is cooling in a good sign for inflation

Red-hot rental market is cooling in a good sign for inflation | Jan. 21, 2023
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/eco...tion-rcna66239

Quote:
“The balance of power in the rental market has really shifted very rapidly to renters,” said Jay Parsons, chief economist for real estate technology firm RealPage. “We’ve seen that rent growth has really slowed down. We’ve now got four straight months where month-over-month new leases have actually come down. The market has really changed materially.”
Quote:
Rents have also varied widely based on geography, with some of the hottest markets seeing the most drastic slowdowns while more affordable markets were some of the few places to see rent increase. In December, rents fell 0.9% in Las Vegas and 0.8% in Dallas while Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Charlotte, North Carolina, were among a handful of cities to see rents increase last month, according to Zillow.
