Southern New England isnt too bad with humidity. More tolerable than Florida

The thunderstorms are nice but they seem to be confined to the mountain tops. You see them, way up there, too afraid to come over the city

Nevada drivers fascinate me though. Everytime its rained out here since I've been here I noticed people on the roads seem to think driving 2x as fast will somehow give them more traction. The worst one I can think of is the on ramp from 95 to 15, going south. that bend is pretty tight and I once saw a car take the turn to fast, spin, and SLAM....right into the wall. The pavement was soaking wet that day

I still take it slow and until I get new tires, I dont take the freeways if it rains, Im willing to wait at each red light for 27 minutes at a time if it means less crash risk. Luckily Im getting new tires next week

I am not liking the humidity at all. I come here to escape that wretched wetness! LOL...oh and to see my husband! It is same temp here as in Detroit, yet much higher humidity and dewpoint. Geesh. Maybe it is following me. Hopefully, the lack of humidity that was once here stays in Detroit when I go back!

So YOU brought it. It's YOUR fault.

I'm liking the extra humidity and moisture. Yesterday it rained on the west side. I was in Summerlin when it started and it rained a bit on the 215. (North of Summerlin.)

Being so used to a dry heat, for me, when it's humid like this, it seems like the a/c doesn't work as well. I can't get cool. I have added more fans to circulate the air around the room I am in at the moment. It helps a little.

I would like to get used to the humidity again, in case we have to go back to Michigan and stay for a few months, depending on my husbands Mother's health. She is 91. The cats will come with us for an extended stay.

No, it is just not you. I have had to turn down the A/C to 68 and it is pouring water out the back end. It is now cool in here at least.

Where is our resident news reporter on the crime on the Strip? Another one early this morning at O'Sheas. This time two tourists. People really need to get a grip. I know...alcohol...but still...

(oh, and that would be you, the reporter, LVD...lol )

I only go to the strip on the weekend and check the news those days. I found it. I guess no one can say tourists are immune anymore. I do not care if anyone calls me a p ussy, but this is getting downright frightening as I read what happened. I have actually have been in altrications like this when I was drunk.

Spay/neuter efforts go grass roots in Clark Co. - My News 3 - KSNV, Las Vegas, NV

30,000 animals euthanized, damn irresponsible pet owners, these euthanized animals are just part of a bigger problem in Clark County. Irresponsible pet owners are the worst, I deal with them on a daily basis and no amount of reasoning will stop them from their LAZY SNEAKY ways.
