What would happen if a bunch of teens were out drinking in public? You guessed it, so the same should happen if they are smoking IMO.

You need to change that to lotta difference between smoking and driving vs drinking and driving which I could agree with you on. However, this is not about driving. The is about underage kids smoking cigarettes in public when it is illegal for them to do so. I got ticketed in Tempe for walking down the street with an unopened beer when I was 19. If they are going to do that, the same should be done for underage smokers.

I don't know if it's illegal for them to smoke under age 18. It's illegal for them to purchase them, and illegal for someone to buy cigarettes for underage kids, or sell cigarettes to them.

No, I don't think the new law would discourage teens from smoking. People that age think they are invincible and will never get caught.

Im just conf'nfused about why we need a friggin law for EVERY friggin thing.....I have smoked most of my life....I have stopped at time for as long as 10 years....i dont smoke now and havent for 1 years. But it is the PARENTS job to keep the kids from smokin, NOT the legislatures.....Take some friggin responsibility.

I and only I am responsible for my actions....so long as I do not injure another party.

NYC and that Chief Idiot in Charge are passing laws about every tiny little thing in life.....NONE, not one single one of them is needed.

The soda pop thing is one that sticks out in my mind. Pop is bad in McDonald's bucket-a-pop for a dollar quantities. But it is pretty irresistible, too, eh?

I like the MacDonald's Coca-Cola Classic for a dollar, and the $1.00 McDouble cheeseburgers.
