Oh yes, that view is spectacular...especially when the Sun is shinning and the mountains look like they are a watercolor painting with the bottom washed out.

I also love the view on Cheyenne as you are approaching Buffalo and you can see the crooked mountain peak with all the greenery against the western mountains.

I love the pastel water color look when the sun shines on the mountains and all the layers are highlighted. I have spent a lot of time trying to capture the layered mountain look, but my camera does not capture it. Someday I will paint it. So, I understand your passion for nature and wanting to recreate it. You are a natural artist.

The beard...hmmm. I don't know how the hotels view employees with beards, come to think of it, maybe someone else on here who knows the hiring processes and can advise you on that.
the beauty was one of the reasons i was so drawn to vegas in the 1st place. the majestic mountains that surround the vegas valley never cease to capture my attention

I agree with you Davie. I love our beautiful mountains as well!

So different for you, being used to flat terrain in CT and FL...

I noticed big bold graffiti today on the exit sign to summerlin parkway from the 95. I bet at some point drivers were going down the 95 seeing a guy hanging on the sign with spray paint high above the highway.

That has been there awhile. A week at minimum.

Florida actually has some pretty nice rolling hills, There is a neighborhood on the NW side of Orlando called "Pine Hills" and it lives up to the latter part of its name, but you avoid that area as it's crime rate is similar to that of East Fremont or D Street

There is even one place northwest of Orlando called "Sugarloaf Mountain" Elevation:301 Feet above sea level And I recall the drive along I-10 in the Florida Panhandle was pretty hilly as well

CT is actually quite a mountainous state MomMom. The mountains though are nowhere near as mighty as the mountains in NV. But they are just prominent enough to create some extremely beautiful views of fall color, and winter snow. The tallest peak in CT is around 3000 feet, which is the elevation of Summerlin

But even so... the mountains on the east side of the US will NEVER compare to the mountains out west

I wonder how they do it. I've never seen anyone doing it before. There's some recent graffiti on the 95 north too.
