They were there my whole Saturday and Sunday shift. I told work I would have to quit if I had to continue to work those 2 days. They said ok, but when the chopping block came I was on it. I lost my job 3 months later. I just got a letter today from unemployment calling me into the office. I would never have been able do that. If anyone wonders what happens, I turn bright red, start shaking, and am not able to talk. If I do not get out of the situation, I will then get light headed and then pass out. This has happened multiple times, one of them that caused me to be rushed to the hospital.
There is a way to get to the other side again. Not easy in your current condition. It would be nice if you could get free mental health consultations for a licensed social worker who could give you some feedback and perhaps some pro-active strategies to dig out of the hole.

Been there (6+ months once); never thought I would come out the other side--step by step.

Consider it and wear your sunglasses to the appointment! No judgements.

Sounds silly but perhaps drive a bit out of your neighborhood, after the sun sets or before sunrise {if sober} every 2 days and then park your car and go out into public in a 'safe' atmosphere where NO one will pay you any attention. Use your imagination.

Everyone here wants you to be well; we are not licensed professionals though.

peace

I am actually nervous and shy when meeting people for the first time. I am much more outgoing online.

After my first daughter, I started experiencing panic attacks. Thought I was going to die. I went through all the testing and it was determined it was panic attacks. The neuro prescribed an anti-anxiety medication and said it was not habit forming nor would it make me feel differently. I don't like pills and figured that alone would give me a panic attack. I figured if this was all in my head, I would work it out. I did not have agoraphobia, but who knows if I didn't do something about it, it may have come to that. I was told by a social worker whom I met through a Young Moms group, that there was a group that could help. I wasn't really into a group thing, didn't really feel like I needed all that, but I went anyway. I only went for a couple months (it was free/donations) and I still, to this day, use some of the tools they talked about. All the people there, (there were about 8 of us at this one particular meeting time) were agoraphobics. I felt like a fish out of water, but the common denominator was the panic attacks.
Unfortunately, this group is only in MI, but I am including the link anyway because the info on the site is very good. Especially the founder's story. I think they have materials you can purchase.

I think I can be a little bit bi-polar every now and again, the feeling is heightened when I have been drinking for sure, as demonstrated in my previous posts. With the exeption of this past weekend where Thursday, Friday AND Saturday night I was out until 5am, I have cut way back on my alcohol consumption and usually dont consume anymore than 1 six pack of beer per week. Usually Shock Top

LVD you know I want the best for you, but its up to you to make a change, sometimes you just gotta put on your big boy pants and say "f*ck it, im sick of this sh*t, its time for a change"

Why do you think I came to Las Vegas? To look at the scenery everyday? To work for $7.25 an hr at Vons? HELL NO! I wanted to and DID make a change in my life and am a better person for it. Granted I failed and ended up coming back to Orlando but THIS time I'm going to try again and do things VERY differently

I'm going to cash in my Publix stock once I become "vested" in the company next March (may wait until May or June to cash it in) and once my bills get caught up I will be able to save at least 5% of my income and use that towards returning to LV

This time next year my car will be paid off (YUP! ) my ducks will be in a row and I will be in a good place financially and will be able to hit the ground running WHEN not if I come back to Las Vegas next year. I'm also planning to go to school. To study what? I dont know, but CSN will be my start. Hotel, and Casino Mgmt are possibilites. I want to do something people related. I realized I have a passion for customer service and people and I think I can take that passion WAY beyond Publix

And you know why I did this before LVD and want to do it again? Because I DONT want to end up like my family here in Orlando, their lives suck SO BAD that I am not going to let them drag me down any longer and I have a burning desire to make a change in my life for the better! For some reason I feel like I belong in LV, granted as much as I missed Orlando I realized I like LV more since I had MUCH more freedom out there

You need to have a reason for that burning desire for change LVD! Find it, and then do what you need to do to get better!

Why not? Just carry a keyboard around with you, stop people and force them to watch you type nonsense.
