This month is August and my tags are expired. I am from California where I lost my job and ran out of unemployment. I am here with my sister looking for work to make enough to get back to San Diego near son and granddaughters. I paid the DMV via mail a check for my tags but made the mistake and smoged car here in Vegas...well scramento kept money and sent paperwork back saying I need to smog in california.. well get this I paid $10 dollars here in vegas and got the test and cert. But to get my tags need to go to California...closes place is Needles 2.5 hrs away..he is only place in small town and wants $78 ..with time and gas...for turnaway trip is it worth it? Or can I just pay for plates and nv license here for less than the trip...havent' enough to pay for tags, plates, license here..well have to spend all day at dmv...just to get info since I can't get it online or thru a phone call...someone told me he took 7hrs just to get his nv license changed from his old one he drove into town with...damn..

Yeah ignore the problem just go back to CA and straighten it out there. If anybody stops you...one chance in 10,000 it will still be 10 tp 1 that you can talk them into letting you proceed with nothing or at worse a registraton violaton.
