Sorry to bother you. I have been searching online for a airport shuttle service to North Las Vegas. In February I hope to be moving into a new Senior Apartment complex that is at 6741 N. Decatur. Its still under construction. The bus will take 2 hours from the airport. So I was hoping their was a shuttle. I have never been to Las Vegas so appreciate any help or suggestions.

Unless they have changed the laws.....airport shuttles may only pick up and drop off at HOTELS....that leaves a short $300 cab ride [assuming THE honest driver is working]

Default $300 to go 21 miles?

Why would it be $300? It is only 27 miles. That is nearly $11 a mile.

Airport shuttles, in most states, are services that anyone can call from their home. They are shared rides that take you to the airport for people who prefer not to leave their cars at the airport. Are you saying their is a law against such a service in Las Vegas area?

For various reasons that deal with the way the taxis work in tourist town we do not have the shared ride shuttles of most other places.

Cab fare should be under $80.

For a little less you can order a town car from Bell or such.

sigh....I guess I forgot to put a sarcastic face up again......

Las Vegas [and Nevada] is NOT most states. The transportation industry has everything sewed up.....Taxicabs are on call....shuttles shuttle to set destinations ..... that's the way it is.....

BTW it would be 300 cause the driver is gonna spot a fish and take you on the grand scenic tour......kinda like they do in NYC.

I never considered that the Super Shuttle would be shut out of Las Vegas. Not that they are realiable. I did not get my scheduled pick up in Phoenix and had to catch a cab at the last minute.

Default Sorry this is all new to me

I'm sorry, this is all new to me. I did not realize you were joking. I just because so frustrated looking online for transportation. What buses they have do not allow a cat, even in a container. It must be very hard for senior citizens, like me, to get around without a car. Thank you all for your help and time in answering my question.

the taxicab industry has the area LITERALLY sewn up.....they dictate to the State what will be done.....[you may read into that $$$$$ if you so choose]
i.e. if a new taxicab sticker is allocated it must FIRST be offered to an existing medallion holder....

How about making friends who are willing to drop you off/pick you up? That's your best bet.

She'd have to be awfully charismatic to make friends like that locally before she has even set foot in Las Vegas.

It sounds like this is a one-time trip, not something the OP will be doing regularly, so hiring a Town Car is probably the best bet. I pay $55 (+ $20 tip) for the 17 miles from LAS to my home here. The guy I call drives for Las Vegas Limousines (I think).
