dynimagelv,

I definitely respect the detail you provided about your experience with KB. There were definitely problems with their homes before their CEO was finally run out and new CEO and board were brought in.

Since the recession has taken such a huge toll here in NV, you wouldn't believe the amount of pressure these sales persons have to make sure homebuyers are satisfied before they are in their homes. Namely, its because they need to keep their customers happy or lose their jobs.

You may say that this is the same at any job, but in this case in particular, when commission plays a big role, and sales are already down, it makes that much of a difference for them to identify homeowner concerns and address them.

With that being said, I think it really boils down to what you are willing to spend for what quality. KB Home has good quality, environmentally sound homes, but there is a difference between good qualilty and GREAT quality.

Being that I'm in my early twenties and this is my first home, I'm happy with it. When I move up and make more money and want to give my family everything, I will move up and get a Toll Brother or Christopher/Phillips Homes.

I suppose thats why I think KB works for many first timers and those not really looking for their dream house just yet - any other thoughts?

Just curious though - what homebuilder did you go with your second home dynimagelv??
