I can't imagine seeing too many fireworks at Fremont, but I don't know. I will say, that last year we didn't really know where to go either, so we just picked a spot behind Centennial Hills Hospital and WOW!!! It was so cool to see. The whole perimeter was just lit up...fireworks going off everywhere. There were people lighting them at the apt complex in front of us and OOPS!, it is a desert...fire broke out and they had fire engines there and the whole thing.

Anyway...the coolest were the Station Casinos. From where we sat, we could make out 4 or 5 of them. They went off at the same time and before they did (around 9ish?)they turned off all the lights on the casinos...looked like Aliante just vanished...then they had them all choreographed to go off at the same time...it was so good!

Best firework show I ever saw...all of it. I would probably have to agree with others...find a high spot in the 'burbs and sit back and enjoy! Best of all....NO MOSQUITOS!

There will be lots happening on the 4th of July this year in Las Vegas! The booze will fly, the money will fly(out of your pockets). Pick-pockets will be out in force as well as the "ladies of the evening". Also on tap(besides beer)-----

All station casinos will have fireworks! All starting at 9:30 pm. Veterans Memorial Park in Boulder city will have a grand fireworks show at 9pm.

LV philharmonic will have a concert at Springs Preserve.

Jamie Fox will be at the Hard Rock. And picnics will include over 150 million hot dogs. Just a "taste" of what will be happening.

I'm Grandpa Steve and I approved this message.

Jukesgrrl, you're very perceptive!! Thanks all for the info. We're not into the "clubbing" or pool parties. Just looking to get the Vegas perspective on July 4th. Thinking of killing two birds with one stone and grabbing a suite with a view at Aria so we can see the action and check out City Center at the same time. Also, we might try hitting Fremont Street that night also. Being from NYC, a little traffic is no biggie and we could still catch fireworks even sitting in the car!! Decided against a show as it seems a silly night to be sitting inside. No matter what it will beat the heck out of being in NY!!!!!!

For the record, the Station fireworks are all at 8:45 -- not 9:00. According to lvrj.com.

We can't decide where to go. If the Red Rock Casino 'works are good, that's certainly a lot easier than fighting the Caesar's Palace crowd.

What are you NV folks doing for fireworks shows?

Hey Meme, I went by Aliante station the last 2 days and their big sign out front shows it is at 9p.m. Unless they changed the time yet again overnight, then it's still the same time. I am leaving to go there soon so if they do it early, i will already be there.

Alrighty, well I'm not surprised that the real time is inconsistently reported. Just wanted to say something just in case. I think we're going to head over to Red Rock station. I'm hoping it's a lot easier and faster than the strip. This is my first 7/4 here in LV.

Finally I saw some great fireworks! After 3 years of disappointment with the strip and other casino's lame fireworks, I stayed in Henderson and had an amazing time. The fireworks were incredible and Heritage Park was a great place to see them. Lots of grass and parking and families all enjoying the holiday.

I was going to go to the Strip but left too late. We ended up going to Red Rock. They were okay, not the best I have seen. We were out in the desert behind so they might have been better closer. When we were driving home it was cool to see all the fireworks all over the valley.

In other news, I saw some idiots sitting around a huge bonfire in the middle of the desert. At first I thought it was a brush fire so called and reported it.

Did you have a good time?

We did have a good time, though it was lame that the parking lot lights stayed on in full force. It was an awfully short show, but it was nice considering it was private. That ruins the effect. When we got back to our neighborhood it turned out there were plenty of 'unsafe & insane' aerials right here! So that was actually pretty fun.
