Hi Everyone,

I am very new to this process so please be patient with me.

Basically what i want to know is how i go about getting an Immigrant Visa?

I know of all they ways of doing it but its to apply for the right one, you see my dad is a permanent resident in New York & he also owns his own company there too, so should i apply on Family or Employment basis??

I would like to move out next year & was also wondering if i can live there while i apply for the Visa?

What country are you coming from?

Are you an eligible student?

How old are you?

Are you a convicted criminal in your own country?

Do you have an advanced degree?

A little info will go along way.

Visa Home

You could check one of the government websites for information on various types of visas, and also to download forms that you would need to get started.

Also get information from one of the US Embasseys.
