I think if you really loved and cared about him, you would go home with him when he goes. Love isn't something that can just exist in the USA.

Hi, My friend have a B2 visa for 3 years in 2016 and he was given 6months entry visa. Before the entry time was expired, he asked for extension of time because he was planning his wedding here in the US. His replied came back and the USCIS are asking for more evidence regarding his ties to his home country and why he needed more time. So can he get married now before going back to his country or married now and sends his married certificate as part of one of his evidence why he wanted more time?? He is really confused now on what to do becus they gave him limited time to send his evidence.

He can use the time on his I94 or comply with the request for more information why he needs to extend his stay and why he will leave the US on time. Why is he co fused?

So he is planning on getting married here, to a US Citizen? If that is the case he will more than likely be denied for an extension and not let back in.

The extension will be denied as it indicates he is trying to immigrate himself.

This is probably a stupid question: If a foreigner applies and receives a fiancé visa that is good for 90 days, would s/he be eligible for a green card down the road after marrying a US citizen within that 90-day period?

Is the immigration status an issue here because the fiancé came to the States illegally? In other words, could the illegal alien return to his/her country (the same way s/he entered, by sneaking out), then apply for a fiancé visa and come over here legally? Of course, prior drug charges and any other felonies would preclude this way of entry.

I always thought if someone marries a US citizen, then that is a way of coming here legally. I remember many years ago I met a woman who was paid $10,000 to marry a foreigner in order for him to gain lawful entry. Isn't that why the immigration interviews are done separately (a la "Green Card" movie)?

Just wondering....

First question: yes.

Second yes.

Third potential marriage fraud is investigated.

It might not be a good idea to consider marrying somebody whose home country you don't want to live in.
